Olympic gold medallist Lindsey Vonn has been injured at the Alpine World Championships that are currently taking place in Schladming, Austria.
During the opening day super-G event, the skier landed wrong, lost a ski, slid off course, and eventually hit a gate.
Vonn’s race had already been postponed for more than 3 hours thanks to fog and others also had trouble seeing thanks to the weather.
Vonn was taken to the hospital where it was found that she tore the MCL and ACL in her right knee and also sustained a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau.

While she has already been released from the hospital, it has already been announced that she will not be participating in the rest of this season.  But, the good news is that she is expected to be able to return for both the 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the 2013-14 Audi FIS World Cup season.

Ever since it was announced that Disney acquired the Star Wars franchise, there has been a lot of wonder and speculation about what would become of the franchise.

Would they just keep the series going?  Would they make other films?  Perhaps a TV show or two?

Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, recently revealed some of the plans during an interview with CNBC.

“We are working on a few standalone films,” he said, meaning that there will be some spin-off films that will also come to be along with Episodes VII, VIII, and IX.

He also added, “[Lawrence] Kasdan and Simon Kinberg are both working on films derived from great Star Wars characters.”

The planned trilogy will see its first release in 2015 and will continue over a six-year stretch.

As for the other films, he didn’t have anything more to say about them—including which characters will be featured, what the names of the films will be, or when they will be released.

Rachel Bilson’s airport incident

Just a few weeks ago it was reported that Emma Watson had a bit of a problem when traveling because airport security mistook the 22-year-old actress for child.

Well, guess what—it’s happened again for another genetically blessed actress.

Rachel Bilson, who is most recently known for her role as a small town doctor in the Hart of Dixie, told Women’s Health UK that she was also stopped for looking too young by airport security.

“I know I look super young,” she said during her interview.  “I was flying back home into LAX the other day and the security guard at the airport stopped me and said, ‘Honey, where’s your family?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m 31!’”

It’s good to know that airport security is diligently doing its job, but doesn’t anyone working in these airports watch TV or movies?
