Three Great Ways to See Becky Shaw at The Wilma Theater

"Bookmark

JeremyBobb_DanielleSkraastad_ArmandoRiescoBecky Shaw enjoyed its Philadelphia premier January 6, 2010, but the romantic comedy has received multiple accolades as an Off-Broadway success long before landing on Broad Street. A Pulitzer Prize finalist, this comedy stems from the imagination of Obie Award-winner Gina Gionfriddo (After Ashley, writer / producer of “Law and Order”).  Now playing at Philadelphia’s The Wilma Theater, Philly2philly has outlined three great ways to see this showstopper.

But first, what’s it all about? Becky Shaw is a witty comedy of romantic errors set in motion when two people are set-up on a blind date (Becky Shaw and Max). Proving that good things rarely result from blind dates, the play combines suspense, sharp wit and romantic comedy into a show of epic proportions. Want more info? Ok, well, the Obie Award-winning American playwright and TV producer and writer of “Law & Order” will be here THIS SUNDAY, JANUARY 10th following the matinee performance (performance starts at 2 pm, the talk begins at 4:15 pm).
