Action News Anchorman Rick Williams Performs in 'Guys and Dolls' by Moorestown Theater Company in South Jersey

Rick Williams

The Moorestown Theater company welcomes fellow Moorestown resident and local celebrity Action News anchorman Rick Williams to their stage in their production of Guys and Dolls. This is the third time Rick Williams fancies the footlights in Moorestown.

Founded in 2003 by husband and wife Mark Morgan and Carol Murray, this theater group is the place “where families have fun and perform musical theater together.” Williams who plays the role of Nathan Detroit is also joined by his wife Jocelyn Williams one of the “Hot Box” girls.

Thirty-four cast members put on quite a show with standout performances by Kaitlin Tummulty as Miss Adelaide, Dana Drechsler as Sarah Brown, Tom McHale as Sky Masterson, and Bruce Jordan as Nicely-Nicely...And of course Rick Williams who does a great job as Nathan Detroit. Rick also played The King in “The King and I” and Lumiere in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” with the Moorestown Theater company.

Choreographer Broadway’s Renee Chamber-Liciaga has this cast moving in top shape. She also does double duty as a featured Havana dancer with husband Broadway performer and martial arts master Peter Licaiga

Sets are simple but effective and staging is a bit tight at the Hope Community Church- turned- theater for the run, but production team does an admirable job keeping things moving. As Morgan shares, “this is our first all adult production,” with cast members coming from all walks of professional lives from school teachers, a former police officer, a lawyer, an IT tech and a PNC Bank investor by day and entertainers by night!
