Summer Steals at the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll

Dolla’ dolla’ bills, ya’ll

Dollar StrollKick off the summer right! This Thursday, June 10th, grab a pocket full of singles and head over to Baltimore Avenue from 43rd to 50th streets for the Dollar Stroll

The Dollar Stroll, created by the University City District, will take place from 5:30-8:30pm in West Philadelphia, as merchants offer special dollar deals up and down Baltimore Avenue.

Bring your dad to Elena’s Soul Lounge for $1 PBR’s as an early Father’s Day gift. Head over to Baltimore Avenue Pet Shoppe and pick up a treat for your furry friend for, you guessed it, $1. You can even visit Curio Theatre Company for a dollar to preview various performances.

The Milk & Honey Market will be giving out $1 ice cream scoops. Younglove’s will be selling records and items of clothing for one dollar. Find your inner yogi and take a $1 class at Studio 34 Yoga Healing Arts

A wide range of restaurants and cafés are also participating in the Dollar Stroll, so make Thursday a date night and take advantage of the delicious dollar food. Vientiane Café will be serving barbequed chicken and tofu skewers. Satellite Café will be selling cookies for a dollar. Other restaurants offering dollar bargains include Dahlak, Atiya Ola’s Spirit First Foods and The Gold Standard Café

The Dollar Stroll is sponsored by Philadelphia Weekly, Campus Philly, Grid Magazine and University City Review. If you can’t make it on Thursday, you’ll have the chance to spend your George Washingtons two more times this summer, July 8th and August 12th.

Jacalyn Clay is collecting her dollars and will be spending them all on yoga classes and tofu (just kidding, totally heading to Elena’s for some PBR’s). Contact her at jacalynclay@gmail.com or follow her on Twitter @jacalynclay.
