Jersey Boys at the Kimmel CenterThe Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, which manages the Kimmel Center, The Academy of Music and the Merriam Theater, promises a fall line-up of programming from Broadway blockbusters to classical virtuosi. First on the line-up is a Broadway musical that has taken home Tony, Grammy, and Olivier awards, Jersey Boys, the Story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The show plays throughout the fall season -- September 30 to December 12 -- with 1950s and 60s classics such as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Oh, What a Night.” You can watch a preview of the show at  JerseyBoysInfo.com/watch.

Jazz lovers be sure to mark your calendar now for October 26 when Dave Brubeck comes to Verizon Hall. Brubeck, a legend in the contemporary jazz world, is known for his experiments in time signatures, counterpoint, improvisation and tonality. He is only performing one night, though, so be sure to get your tickets pronto.

Also in town for just one night, Buddy Valastro from TLC's The Cake Boss will be at the Merriam Theater on November 8. Valastro will give a live demonstration of the techniques that make him one of the successful cake artists and TV show star.

Planning ahead? Stomp will be here this coming February 15 to 20, perfect for Valentine's Day weekend and some foot-tamping fun.
