Preston and Steve's 2010 Totally Office Calendar Release Party at Chickie's and Pete's
A crowd of men and women in the thousands (yes, I said thousands) came in droves to Chickie's and Pete's on Friday night. So what exactly was the reason why lines were wrapped around the Packer Ave location? On hand were the 13 girls who are featured in the 2010 version of Preston and Steve's Totally Office Calendar from 93.3 WMMR. From 7-11, the girls graciously signed copies of the calender, which was free for everyone who was in attendance courtesy of WMMR. The fourth annual calender has become a tradition with the morning show. "Collectively, it was just something we decided to do," claims host Preston Elliot. "I guess it came from doing our 'Philly's Hottest' competitions and we just took it from there." The girls were selected by the WMMR Morning Show. Some of them have extensive modeling backgrounds. For calender cover girl (and Miss March 2010) Jenn Kaelin of Voorhees, New Jersey, it was a random visit to the Preston and Steve Show that led to her selection. "I've never modelled," says Kaelin. "I was in the studio for Hooters, and I guess they thought I was hot."
Kate Osman (Miss November 2010) from Philadelphia got her connection to Preston and Steve by previously modelling for Maxim Magazine's Hometown Hotties. Kate is also a former Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader and has done fitness modelling as well. "This is my first year being featured and I'm very excited," said Jennifer DeCillis (Miss August 2010) from Marlton, New Jersey. Jennifer was a semi-finalist for Maxim's Hometown Hotties and has participated in numerous contests for Preston and Steve. Lauren Harris (Miss January 2010) returns for her fourth showing in the calender, and is the only girl to date who has made multiple appearances.
Just when you thought the lines were dying down as the night progressed, they doubled. There were literally twice the people in the building around 10pm than when the signing kicked off a little after 7pm. Throw WMMR personalities like Jacky Bam Bam,Matt Cord, and former Phillies All-Star closer Ricky Bottalico into the mix and you've got yourself a party.
"It's a great night all around," says producer Nick McIlwain. "Lots of people came out, enjoyed themselves, and got a free calender. We're extremely proud of it."
