Constitution Day at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia


September 17th marks Constitution Day around the country.  On September 17, 1787 the U.S. Constitution was signed by 39 forefathers of America in Philadelphia.

Cities all around America will be celebrating Constitution Day on Thursday.  And, what a better place for the festivities than Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center.  

If you are looking for some educational fun tomorrow then look no further.  Here is the itinerary tomorrow at The National Constitution Center on 525 Arch Street.

8:30 a.m.

America Reads the Constitution

Individuals who serve the nation in a variety of capacities will be asked to read the Preamble to the Constitution.

9:00 a.m.

Virtual Field Trip: Signing the Constitution

Classrooms around the country join the National Constitution Center via live webcast in Signers’ Hall.
Constitution Celebration!

10:00 a.m.

Join in this demonstration about the journey our country took from the Revolution to the Constitution.
Naturalization Ceremony

2:00 p.m.

Immigrants from across the globe will take the Oath of Citizenship to officially become citizens of the United States.
