'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' Recap: Season 6 Episode 8

It’s Always Reviewed in PhiladelphiaIt's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

Episode 8: The Gang Gets a New Member

In the eighth episode, the gang opens up a time capsule and rediscovers the lost member of the Gang, Schmitty. The rivalry between Schmitty and Charlie is immediately apparent and this leads to the biggest change in the gang ever: Charlie gets himself thrown out of the gang!

In Dee’s subplot, she tries to reconnect with her own drama coach, who encourages her to be a teacher. It’s a disaster as the disaffected kids have no interest in anything she has to say. This all culminates in a cliffhanger that is eventually going to lead to Charlie leaving Philadelphia for the first time in his life.

Yes, Sunny fans, there is a Part 2. But unlike the first two episodes, which felt a little forced, these new episodes sound like they have lots of possibilities. Also, keep an eye out for a favorite Philly landmark in the background of the restaurant scene.

The episode was pretty awesome. Now to the Sunny scale:

1 is Dee

2 is Frank

3 is Charlie

4 is Mac

5 is a Dennis

I have to give this episode a solid Mac.
