Philadelphia Movie Tour packs in over 30 movies in two hours!

Why would you go to a dinner and a movie in Philadelphia when you could see 30 movies before dinner?! That’s one of the ideas behind Philadelphia Up close and personal with the Philadelphia Movie Sites Tour. Photo courtesy of Jim McWilliams.Movie Sites Tour, about to launch its fifth season in the City of Brotherly Love.

The tour, which has been expanded and upgraded, takes patrons on a two-hour ride through various locations in the city where Hollywood films have been shot. While entering the bus, everyone will be greeted and offered a box of candy for the ride. During the tour, there are televisions on the bus that actually play the movie clip that parallels to the locations that are being visited, so it’s a great interactive experience. Wait until you see what the cast and crew of Beloved did to transform a Philadelphia street into an unrecognizable cobblestone epicenter.

Among other things, the tour has added several new blockbuster films to the list, including Marley and Me, The Happening, Law Abiding Citizen, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The movie clips for the remaining films (National Treasure, In Her Shoes among others) have also been changed up and modified so that anyone who has taken the tour previously will be in for an entirely new experience.

Also worth noting for all the couples out there, the tour will be offering date night every second Saturday of each month. This creative option offers the movie tour at night (don’t worry it ends at 8:00!), and is accompanied by a wine and cheese package.

The fun begins Saturday April 10th, 2010. Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for children, and $45 for date night. Reservations can be made at www.moviesitestour.com  or by calling 215-625-7980.
