Grace Flanagan About Pennies for Action 2010

Grace FlanaganThis Year's Pennies in Action was great fun and another successful event!

The event was held in Media. Wine was flowing, conversations were going, and lots of great food was enjoyed by everyone!

Former Philly sports anchor and Sportsnet New York  reporter Lou Tilley  emceed the event. This year we had the pleasure of having Bill Bergey, Bobby Shantz, former Broad Street Bully Jim Watson, motivational speaker Helena Nyman, former professional soccer players George Beim and Randy Garber participated as well. Watson also serves on the advisory board with former Olympic Champion Brian Boitano.  Olympic Athlete Uschi Keszler

Pennies in Action is a non-profit fund for cancer research founded in 2007 by Uschi Keszler, an Olympic athlete. Keszler is also a two-time cancer survivor, having beaten both tuberculosis in her youth and then uterine cancer. Uschi is determined to see cancer beaten in her lifetime. She is one of the owners of Ice Works in Aston. Keszler's surgeon was  Dr. Brian J. Czerniecki  from the University of Pennsylvania, who is currently working on a vaccine for breast cancer.

So next year please join us for a fun filled night for a great cause!
