“We’ve had a partnership with Fogo de Chao over the last year or so. They actually came to us with an idea like this of trying to get the whole show to come out here for a night,” says Morning Show producer Nick McIlwain.

“The crew tossed around the idea of doing it as a contest to make more special and intimate and to do this with military servicemen and women past and present. Fogo loved the idea, and listeners nominated their friends and we narrowed it down. The room is big, warm, and comfortable. A perfect place to be on a cold January night.”

The five members of the military who won the contest are a mixture of local tri-state area residents as well as newcomers to the Delaware Valley. All of them however, had one thing in common: their appreciation for the Preston and Steve Crew for making this night possible.

Jessica Kosisky is an Air Force recruiter who works in Philadelphia. Her husband Mark KosiskyMark and Jessica Kosisky with Nick McIlwain. is stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. The couple moved to Burlington, NJ in July from North Carolina.

"We move around quite a bit since we’re both on active duty, so it’s hard to find a good station to listen to, and as soon as I heard about this, I entered the contest,” said Jessica.

Jeffrey Seamans from Eagleville, PA is in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Seamans spent a year in Iraq in 2009, and was floored that the WMMR crew went to such great lenghths for the contest winners.

“I was quite surprised when I heard this was going to be at Fogo de Chao,” said Seamans. “They could have had a barbecue or a picnic and it would have been just as great. That really says something.”

Bryan Swink from Maple Shade, NJ, is stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Swink’s wife Becca told him about the contest and echoed Seamans’ sentiments.

“We really appreciate this. Eating all this food is dangerous,” laughed Swink.

Phillip Ryan Grant from Reading,PA, was stationed for a year in Camp Taji Iraq (204th Calvary). Grant has nothing but high praises for Fogo de Chao, and the Morning Show crew for making him feel right at home.

“This is amazing. You can’t put it into words. I love meat, steak, andWMMR's Preston & Steve Morning Show hold Fogo de Chao Dinner for enlisted military. everything else that comes with it,” exclaims Grant. “This is by far the best radio station I’ve ever heard. I would put them above Howard Stern any day. They’re great.”

Daniel O’Pella Sr. from Haddonfield, NJ, has been deployed three times since 9/11. O’Pella, the father of five children, and was dropping his second grader off at school when he first heard about the contest.

“I listen to Preston and Steve every day. This is unbelievable,” exclaimed O’Pella. “It’s humbling to be one of the few winners representing all the soldier, sailors, and airmen from the area in an event like this. I have a sense of extreme gratitude to both the radio station and restaurant for having us as their guests. I can’t say enough about it. And to finally meet Preston and Steve and the crew, it’s a win-win.”

You should trust them. They’re serving YOUR country.
