Philly Fashionistas goes 'Geek Chic'

Philly Fashionistas with Biana DeMarco

All eyes have been on me ever since I started wearing my fabulous "geek chic" Oliver Peoples frames. But I really can't take all the credit, the power of this super hip accessory has been undeniable from the very start.

Strangers would walk up to talk to me (which never happens), asking me where I got my frames and inevitably trying them on. People seem to have gotten nicer overnight...full of compliments over my new glasses. Now, maybe it's just me, but I also started to notice glasses on everyone else.

So, what's the appeal? People no longer opt for contact lenses because glasses are the ultimate way to express your personal style. With prescription or without, frames have become THE accessory to make a fashion statement. Think picking out glasses is easy, think again because finding just the right pair is crucial. I know because it took me close to 45 minutes and 20 pairs to get it right.

But thanks to Erika and Cliff of Innervision Eyewear in Rittenhouse I was able to find my dream pair. I have to give credit where credit is due, their knowledge of what looks amazing and their huge selection made it all possible. The way I am passionate about fashion, they are about putting people in the perfect pair of frames.

When I met with them it was a match made in heaven and we decided to put one lucky PhillyFashionistas.com reader in a pair of glasses of their choice.

Not bad, right? For your chance to win, click "like" on the InnerVision fan pageand you will be entered automatically. It's that easy. What other eyewear store has your fashion sense in mind? So, InnerVision Eyewear wanted me to be happy with my frame choice and they succeeded.

Check out some looks that I've put together since I started donning my new accessory:

Philly's own designer Bela Shehu and I in our fabulous frames at the Joan Shepp Red Carpet Event Sept 16th. Who says you have to leave your glasses at home when you wear a dress?

Dressed from head to toe in garbs from Knit Wit, the owner Ann Gitter couldn't resist having me walk down the runway in my frames at the Rittenhouse Row Fall Festival.

Enjoying Michael Schulson's heavenly creations at Sampan in my amazing frames. They really came in handy with the tiny cones.

Hope this post inspires you to embrace glasses. Trying new looks can be so much fun. Happy frame shopping ladies and gents!
