Helene Eksterowicz's 'Bachelor' Episode 6 Recap: Brad Womack takes on Costa Rica

"Bookmark

For the 6th episode of The Bachelor 15, Brad whisks the remaining seven girls off to Costa Rica for some romance and adventure. The girls jet off to The Springs Costa Rica  resort where Brad escorts them to their own villa, (which looks pretty sweet). While in this tropical paradise, Brad takes two girls on individual dates and the other five on the remaining group date.

Brad’s date with Chantal

The first individual date goes to Chantal, which you know makes Michelle pissed.Brad and Chantal photo: greencelebrity.net Michelle notes that she hopes that Chantal gets attacked by apes, which is only a comment that Michelle can make. Brad and Chantal take off in a helicopter where they fly over a volcano and waterfalls and eventually go zip lining through the rain forest. While macho Brad is oddly scared that they are zipping in the rain, Chantal goes first and takes off on the zip line with no fear at all it seems. Way to go Chantal!

Brad notes that he likes her confidence and they eventually try to have a picnic by the river but it gets rained out. They later make a dash through the rain to Brad’s villa where Chantal pretends she’s Tom Cruise in Risky Business by wearing Brad’s shirt and seemingly nothing underneath. Brad expresses to Chantal that she scared him in Vegas with her emotional outbursts and fears that she is playing games with him. She contends that she was in a “bad place” in Vegas emotionally and apologizes. Now all seems well in the world of Brad and Chantal again.

The Group Date

For the group date, Brad takes Jackie, Michelle, Emily, Shawntel, Ashley, and Britt to repel down a waterfall. Michelle is visibly pissed again with Brad because they supposedly made a pact to never repel down anything without each other. This seems a little ridiculous to me, but here we go again with the drama from Michelle. All the girls go down the waterfall and Michelle waits to go last so she can give Brad grief and hit him about the date’s activity and their pact. He decides to appease Michelle and repel down the waterfall side by side with her. Then they go together to a natural hot spring where its bikini time once again.

While Michelle says during an interview that she wants to basically f*ck Brad, Brad and Emily share some alone time by the spring where she talks about how she self sabotages her relationships and now Brad is really starting to worry about Emily. He notes that she scares him and is worried that he may get hurt by her. Now the shoe is on the other foot, Brad!

Anyway, Brad and Michelle eventually share some alone time where they argue over his connection with the other girls (because of course Michelle doesn’t see Brad with anyone other than herself). And I guess if Brad bought into this, the whole show would be over but he doesn’t. After his conversations with the girls, Brad is blatantly upset (probably over his chats with the front runners Emily and Michelle) and so he decides not to give the rose to anyone that night.

So long, Alli

For the last individual date, Brad takes Allie (who has had little individual time with Brad) horseback riding and later do some cave exploring together. The date seems to be going well and they seem to share a nice and friendly vibe together (and that’s all that I see). Later at dinner, Brad notices that their conversations are awkward and that he sees Allie being more of a friend. Then, Brad also notices that their table in the water is sinking and ironically, so is their connection. Brad decides not to give Allie a rose but does do a good time letting her down easy. Allie thanks him for being honest but is still upset.

After his date with Allie, Brad is feeling bad and emotionally torn up over his stream of conversations and dates in Costa Rica and then Michelle shows up unannounced at his villa. He seems kind of stunned, but welcomes her in. Michelle again starts givingBrad has kept Emily-for now. Photo courtesy of ABC:www.charlotteobserver.com him grief over liking Chantal (who she is obviously threatened by) and Brad is again feeling stressed out again by Michelle. She is losing points big time in my opinion!

The Rose Ceremony

At the rose ceremony, Brad walks in and obviously has a lot on his mind. He takes Emily aside to talk to her and she tries to do some damage control after her “self sabotaging” comments. And after their chat, Brad stills seem smitten by her!

And then of course, Michelle takes him away to talk to him and Brad notes that they have a connection, but that she is still scaring him. He tells her that they took “10 steps back” and Michelle is starting to look worried. While Michelle is off on her chat with Brad, Chantal and the girls pick up that someone must have given Brad grief about their group date and confronts Michelle about it. Michelle owns up to visiting Brad at his villa and the girls are pissed! Then, Chantal tells Brad that she is in love with him and he thanks her for making his night.

It seems like Michelle is losing some points while Chantal is gaining some now. Brad ends up giving roses to Ashley, Emily, Britt, Shawntel, and lastly to Michelle.

Tune in next week when Brad whisks the girls off to another tropical location where more drama and tears are expected! See ya next week!
