TMI: Philly2Philly.com's Ridiculous Social Media Update of the Week

While we are perusing through our social media updates, we always see a few that make us think, “Really? Really?” WellJen Cohen we are determined to find these updates...and highlight them.

Why not? I mean, hey you put it out there, we are just helping you spread your useless, TMI, ridiculous, no one cares updates with the rest of the world who isn’t graced with reading your wasted keystrokes.

So here is our first post of the week, compliments of a public Facebook profile:

Philly2Philly.com's Ridiculous Social Media Update of the Week.

Okay, let’s break this down and explain why it qualifies to be featured as a ridiculous update.

1. The post is about their kid. Generally, no one cares about your kids, just you. So stop posting about them.

2.This is disgusting. Really, you put “tooting” in your update? That wasn’t a red flag that you were kind of corny, pretty gross, and mainly annoying when you wrote it?

3.Mention of God. God will probably need to help you with more than just “getting through this.” Please don’t bother him and ask for help on such a trivial issue. Suck it up and spend less time posting on Facebook and more time tending to your child.

4.Three letters T-M-I...times a million.

So that’s this week’s social media update breakdown. Read carefully. Don’t become a victim, because honestly, it’s a lot more fun to laugh at other people rather than yourself.

This column is brought to you by the ever-so-witty social media maven, adjunct professor, and President of Something Creative, Jen Cohen. Since the bulk of her days are spent behind a computer screen and perusing through social media content, she came up with this idea to amuse herself and figured she would amuse you, too. This is all in good fun and not meant to be offensive, so enjoy!
