Ashton Kutcher, Lady Gaga and Conan Rule Twitter, Jersey Shore Italy Controversy, and 'Camelot' set to premiere on Starz
Ashton Kutcher, Conan, and Chelsea Handler Rule Twitter
The Twitterverse is huge! Figuring out who to follow can make your head spin. Rather than randomly following only big-name celebrities and hoping you’ve chosen Tweeters who are amusing and interesting, let Time do the work for you.
The magazine has recently come up with a list of who is interesting enough to be followed and who Tweeters shouldn’t bother giving the time of day.
Believe it or not, Kim Kardashian was left off the list. She’s a huge Tweeter. Maybe the mag is just in Kardashian overload?!
Another snubbed, um, celeb is Charlie Sheen. Yes, his tweets are on the crazy side. But, they’re pretty darn entertaining!
Check out the list and see for yourself who’s worthy of a follow.
Italian Citizens Upset Over Jersey Shore Filming
It hasn’t even been a week since everyone’s favorite Guidos and Guidettes waved goodbye to their Seaside Heights digs, and already the Jersey Shore cast is making headlines. No, no one was arrested—at least not this week. Instead, it’s being reported that the people of Italy aren’t thrilled with the show taping footage for the next season in their country.
Apparently, Italians are pretty peeved that the show’s cast perpetuates negative stereotypes about their culture.
In a recent article written by Roberto Del Bove for a Rome newspaper, “They embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized.”
Another reporter described the characters as having “slicked hair, exaggerated narcissism, boundless love for the family and outlandish eccentricity.”
It hasn’t yet been said when Jersey Shore will once again premiere or how much of the latest season will take place in Italy, but it’ll be interesting to see how all the drama plays out.
Camelot Set to Premier on Starz April 1st
If you were excited to hear about HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones premiere, then you may also be interested to know that Starz and Showtime also have new series starting this week.
Camelot is set to begin on Starz on April 1.
The original series will include the characters we all know and love from the classic tale, including Arthur and Guinevere. But don’t expect the show, which stars the likes of Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Fiennes, and former Bond Girl Eva Green, to follow the familiar story. Instead, Starz warns you to “Forget everything you think you know…this is the story of Camelot that has never been told before.”
Tune into Showtime on April 3 to catch the premier of The Borgias. Think The Sopranos, but set in Italy in the 15th century. Expect a lot of drama, romance, and twists in the series starring Jeremy Irons as Rodrigo Borgia, the family’s patriarch.
