With Spring just around the corner (it’s technically here) and the PhilliesPhiladelphia Magazine’s Spirits Premiere Party. Photo: Darren DeBlasi. set for another World Series run, Thursday night was the perfect time for Philadelphia Magazine’s Spirits Premiere Party.

The party, which took place at the National Constitution Center, offered all the free spirits you could possibly drink that were ready at your disposal.

A crowd of over 600 guests were treated to just about any kind of signature cocktail from the premium liquor brands. Tequila Avion, Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve, Slane Castle Irish Whiskey, and Patron were some of the most popular choices of the evening.

Some of the new products making their debut at the party were Absolut Wild Tea and Three Olives Dude. Wild Tea seemed to be a hit with the party goers, especially when mixed with iced tea and lemonade for a Wild Tea Martini. Three Olives Dude is a tropical vodka with a blend of lemon and lime. Surprisingly, ‘Dude’ is often mixed with Mountain Dew.

New Amsterdam Gin presented their Lower East Side martini, which consisted of New Amsterdam Gin,Philadelphia Magazine’s Spirits Premiere Party. Guests in attendance were treated to such culinary treats as buttermilk chicken fingers and cheesesteak wraps from Max and Me Catering (520 North Columbus Boulevard) as well as sandwiches from Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

The latest issue of Philadelphia Magazine featuring Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee were available to bring home at the cocktail tables as well as a copies of Pennsylvania’s Official Wine*Spirits Quarterly.

Highly recommended if you missed this year’s event, Philadelphia Magazine’s 2012 Spirits Party has yet to be announced, but you can stay tuned to all the details at www.phillymag.com
