Katie Couric Leaving CBS, Hugh Hefner's Non-Prenup, and Hunger Games Movie News

Is Katie Couric Leaving The CBS Evening News?

Is Katie Couric already planning to leave CBS Evening News after only 5 years?  It looks like that's exactly what might happen.

Although nothing concrete has been said as of yet, it is rumored that Couric is not planning to renew her contract with the show when it expires on June 4th.

It has been said that rather than renew her contract, Couric will move on to bigger and better things. Namely working on her own talk show that may launch in 2012.

The potential move really isn’t too surprising, considering that Couric’s ratings aren’t high enough to justify her reported multi-million dollar salary. But who knows? Maybe she’ll fare better on her own show.  And, with Oprah retiring to her OWN network, there will definitely be a need for a new daytime talk show…

Hugh Hefner To Marry For Third Time To Crystal Harris

It’s no secret that Hugh Hefner will walk down the aisle for the third time this June.  But it may come as a surprise that he doesn’t plan to have his future bride, Crystal Harris, sign a prenup.

Apparently the 84-year-old Playboy magnate cares so much about his 24-year-old fiancée that he doesn’t want to make her sign the document.

Considering Hef’s age and the fact that Harris will be his third wife, this is quite a risk.  Harris is one lucky, lucky girl!

The couple, who started dating in 2009, got engaged around the holidays.  The wedding will take place at the Playboy Mansion on June 18th.

Finally Some News On Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games

Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games is set to debut on the big screen next year.  Unfortunately excited fans haven’t been given too much information about the movie.

That is, until now.

If you’ve been following casting news, then you already know that Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) has signed on to play the book’s heroine, Katniss Everdeen.  But, have you heard that two more roles have been filled?

In a recent release, Lionsgate made the announcement that two actors have joined the film’s cast and will star opposite Lawrence.  Liam Hemsworth (The Last Song and Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend) will take on the role of Gale Hawthorne.  Josh Hutcherson (The Kids are All Right) will play Peeta Mellark.

The movie is slated to hit theaters on March 23, 2012, so mark your calendars now.
