Amy Winehouse Dead at 27, Michael Jackson Tribute, and Sharon Osbourne Leaving "The Talk"

Amy Winehouse Dead at Age 27

It was announced over the week end that British singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her home, possibly making her the latest member of amy winehousethe 27 Club.

While many fans are mourning the death of the 27-year-old soulful singer, others are not surprised considering her history with substance abuse.  Winehouse first entered rehab in 2007 for a drug problem that included heroin use.  She’s been in and out since then, with the latest check in happening this past May.

It had recently been announced that Winehouse would be canceling upcoming performances for a much needed break, although she did surprise fans by appearing at July 20’s iTunes Festival.

Right now it’s looking like many think the cause of death is drug related.  However, nothing has been reported to support that and it’s expected that toxicology results won’t be ready for about a month.

Michael Jackson's Family Planning a Tribute

It’s been two years since Michael Jackson died.  But, the King of Pop’s memory is still being celebrated.  And this time it’s by his own family.

It was recently announced that several members of the Jackson family have their hand in planning a tribute concert for the late singer.

The concert will be held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on October 8.  The stadium can hold around 75,000 people.  But, for those who can’t make it or are unable to get a ticket, the event can be watched live on pay-per-view or in movie theaters worldwide.  Some theaters will broadcast the event in 3D so it feels like you’re right there!

While Katherine Jackson managed to announce the date, place, and plans for the event, she wouldn’t reveal the names of the acts performing that day.  Not exactly sure why, considering she said how proud she is of who is performing.  Hmmmmm....

Sharon Osbourne Leaving "The Talk"

Rumors are swirling that Sharon Osbourne is leaving The Talk because she can’t get along with her co-stars.

But, like most rumors, what you’ve heard is wrong.

Apparently Osbourne just needs more time to spend with her hubby.

In a recent interview she explained that she hasn’t been able to spend enough time with Ozzy thanks to his latest tour.  So, when his tour goes on break, she will, too, in order to get some quality time with him.

There’s good news for The Talk fans.  Osbourne doesn’t plan to leave the show all together.  Although she hasn’t revealed just how long her hiatus will be, she does plan to return after she and Ozzy have gotten their fill of each other.

Oh, and if you were worried that Osbourne and her co-stars are having problems, there’s no need to worry.  She says all’s good.
