Beyonce’s baby causes problems in hospital? Jason Segel meets YouTube fan, and a ‘Carrie’ remake?

Beyonce’s baby causes problems in hospital?

It was rumored that a very pregnant Beyonce would have a New Year’s baby.  She didn’t give birth on the 1st, but she did come very close when she finally went into labor and delivered a baby girl over the weekend.Beyonce photo: stupidcelebrities.net

The press had a field day not only reporting the baby’s arrival, but also the fact that her mommy and rapper daddy, Jay-Z, rented out Lenox Hill Hospital’s entire fourth floor, supposedly making it just about impossible for some people to get to their loved ones in the facility.

While it hasn’t been confirmed if they did in fact cause any problems for other, it has been reported that a ton of security measures were in place—from the singer signing herself in under the name Ingrid Jackson, to the staff being forced to hand in cell phones to no unauthorized info could be leaked.

Regardless of what went on, the new parents were thrilled to welcome Blue Ivy Carter into the world.  So thrilled, in fact, that Jay-Z wrote a song for his new daughter, complete with a bit of the baby’s crying in the background.

Jason Segel meets YouTube fan

Chelsea Gill made headlines last week by posting a fun and heartfelt video for Jason Segel on YouTube.  You know the one, where she tells him that she’s of age and disease-free while playing the guitar.

Well apparently Gill didn’t just catch the media’s attention, she also caught the attention of Segel himself.

Not only did 'The Muppets'  star tweet that he’d put together a proper response for her, he went a step further and invited both Gill and her twin sister for a night on the town in Chicago. The actor and the sisters met up at the Ritz-Carlton for a drink and later headed to the Chicago Film Critic Awards.

This isn’t the first time that a YouTube video plea has ended in a meeting between a celeb and a fan.  Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake also landed in the news for responding to video invitations and attending the Marine Corps Ball.

Who knew meeting your fave celeb could be as easy as posting a video for them?

A ‘Carrie’ remake?Carrie photo: getthebigpicture.net

Stephen King’s Carrie is truly an iconic horror flick.  In 1976, Brian De Palma adapted the author’s popular novel for the big screen, brining with it a tortured Sissy Spacek, a creepy mom, and lots and lots of animal blood.

Several years back the film was remade for the small screen with the hopes that a TV series would follow.  There was The Rage: Carrie 2  in 1999, although it wasn’t nearly as good as the original.  And the year before, a musical based on the film didn’t make it past five performances.

So, all things considered, it makes you wonder why the movie is once again in talks to be remade.  And possibly starring Lindsay Lohan, no less.

For real??

True Grit’s Hailee Steinfeld has also been mentioned as a contender for the lead, which might make the possibility of a remake more bearable.

As of right now nothing is concrete.  Hopefully it’ll all just stay in the talk phase.
