Fans of the chef, as well as anyone who has ever seen her show, are more than likely not surprised considering just about everything she makes is deep fried, cooked with a pound of butter, or both!

Deen has actually known of her diagnosis for about 3 years, but kept it from the public until she could figure out how to manage her diabetes.

Now that it’s all out in the open, you can be sure that being diabetic is not going to stop Deen from continuing what she’s doing.  She’s just going to do it in a different way.

Yes, she will continue to share the oh-so-tasty, yet oh-so-bad-for-you recipes she’s always presented on her show.  But, she’ll also offer up lighter fare options that taste just as good both on her show and through Diabetes in a New Light, a campaign she’s started with her two sons that aims to help to people manage their diabetes.

Heather Locklear to rehab?

Late last week it was reported that Heather Locklear was hospitalized after supposedly mixing alcohol and drugs. Apparently the actress’s behavior was scary enough to warrant her sister calling 911.  Heather Locklear photo: abcnews.go.com

After doing well during her stay at Los Robles Hospital, Locklear was discharged from the facility.

But, now what?  Will things go back to normal?  Will she be the next in a long line of celebs to have a stint in rehab?

It looks like the latter may be in the cards for the actress. Although she hasn’t been admitted to a rehab facility just yet, sources have said that she is weighing her options and may decide to go.

This could be a good thing since it’s also being said that, although up until now she has been able to handle it, Locklear has a history with alcohol.

Perhaps hitting the big 5-0 and ending her engagement to fellow actor Jack Wagner had something to do with her recent episode.

Regardless, best wishes go out to Locklear.
