Beyonce brings the party to Atlantic City for Revel’s Memorial Day Weekend premiere

Beyonce performed four sold out concerts at the Jersey Shore over the holiday weekend for fans, celebrities and dignitaries at Revel, Atlantic City’s newest $2.4 billion entertainment destination. Billed as her only shows for 2012 so far and the first since giving birth to her and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy Carter, the mini engagement was one of the hottest events on the east coast. Many visitors made the trip to the famous seaside resort to stroll on the boardwalk, spend the day at the beach, lounge in a cabaña by the pool, gamble or shop during the Memorial Day Weekend. Great entertainment at night was an added bonus with an array of shows and concerts in Atlantic City including Beyonce's four performances during the official premiere of Revel.

Beyonce delivered spectacular performances each night during her “Back To Business” shows for those in attendance throughout the weekend. Celebrities included First Lady Michelle Obama with daughters Sasha and Malia, Gayle King, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his family, Jennifer Hudson, Maria Bello, Ray Rice, Deon Grant, Emily DiDonato, Kim Kardashian, Selita Ebanks and Megan Hilty.

With her shadow appearing behind a screen in Ovation Hall—the 5,050 seat state of the art theatre—Beyonce debuted wearing a silver sequenced outfit with fringe and hot pink shoes that matched her hot pink nails. Stunning many with her fantastic figure, the 16-time Grammy Award winner told the crowd she lost 60 pounds by eating lettuce and spending a lot of time on the treadmill. To note the accomplishment, she told fans she was going to get “chocolate-wasted” later that night.

The international superstar belted out her many hits including “End of Time,“Crazy In Love“Get Me Bodied” and “Party.” Backed by an all-female band, Beyonce sat on top of a piano singing the love song “1 + 1” and gave an emotional rendition of “Resentment.”

The multi-platinum singer also paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston with a verse of “I Will Always Love You” before breaking into “Halo.”  Later, she sang “Naughty Girl” featuring the late Donna Summer’s hit “Love to Love You Baby.”

Other songs that delighted fans included “Baby Boy,” “Diva,” “Single Ladies” and “Run the World” along with covers of Lauryn Hill’s classic “Ex Factor” and the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”

The four-day concert performance was anything but a simple weekend appearance. In the weeks before the concert, Revel had to move a scheduled gaming conference out of Ovation Hall and into their other banquet rooms in the 6.3 million square foot complex to allow Beyonce and her entourage time to rehearse. Treated like a huge tour, the multi-tiered stage featured numerous LED screens and lights. Halfway through the two hour performance, Beyonce showed a video of her travels and talked about how precious life is even showing a picture of Blue Ivy.

Having recently been named People Magazine’s 2012 “World’s Most Beautiful Woman,” Beyonce reminded everyone that her voice matches her beauty while performing her highly anticipated shows for adoring fans to help Revel celebrate its premiere in Atlantic City.
