The world was saddened this week when it was announced that  Andy Griffith had passed away.

Considering no one even knew he had been sick, it was definitely a shock.

At the time nothing was said about the reason behind his sudden passing.  But now it has been revealed that Griffith had actually had a heart attack 24 hours prior to his death.

No previous announcements had been made about the actor’s health, so the public didn’t know anything was wrong. But, apparently he had been dealing with problems, such as coronary artery disease, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension.

The actor was laid to rest on his North Carolina farm with a small group of friends and family in attendance.

Griffith was known for his starring roles in such TV shows as The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock.

The actor finally married Camila Alves, his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children, and he’s once again in the movie spotlight thanks to his starring role in the insanely popular Magic Mike.

So, could he possibly have anything else to celebrate about?

Yes, yes he can.  It looks like the actor and his bride are expecting a third child.

McConaughey made the big announcement via Twitter on the 4th:

“Happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep livin.”

Way to just slip that in there!  I wonder how many people skimmed his post and actually missed the announcement.

Either way, congratulations!

New Season of Big Brother is Set to Premiere on July 12th

It’s that time of year again when a bunch of strangers walk into a house, have to compete in goofy challenges, and only get to leave if their roommates vote them out.  Yep, that’s right—it’s Big Brother time.

While the show still has a week before it’ll air, this year’s houseguests have already been announced. It looks like the 12 houseguests will all be quite different, which could make for some interesting showmances, bromances, and disagreements.

Oh, and did you notice I only said 12 instead of 16?  That wasn’t a mistake. There are only 12 new guests. But, there will be a full 16 in the house because 4 of the 16 are returning players.

Apparently the returning guests will be playing their own game and competing for a separate prize.

And as for who these returning guests are—that’s a surprise.  You’ll have to tune into the season 14 premiere to see who they are

The show is set to premiere on July 12 on CBS.  Check it out.
