Michael Strahan to replace Regis Philbin and join Kelly Ripa

Kelly RipaHave you been waiting with bated breath to see who will be filling Regis Philbin’s shoes on the popular morning show now called Live! With Kelly?

If so, then you can soon breath easier, because it looks like fans of the show will finally learn who Kelly Ripa’s co-host will be.

Philbin stepped down from his longtime hosting job nine months ago, and since then Ripa has sat alongside quite a few temporary co-hosts.

But, as of September 4th, she will have a permanent replacement in place next to her. Who will it be?

It has been announced that former New York Giants defensive end and Fox analyst  Michael Strahan will join Ripa.

After months of speculation when SNL cast member Seth Myers, CNN's Anderson Cooper, and former SNL member Dana Carvey were rumored to be the new co-hosts, the wait is finally over.

'Fifty Shades of Grey' Featured By British Tourism Company

I apologize in advance for two weeks in a row of Fifty Shades of Grey news, but this one seems pretty interesting--especially for those of you whoVanessa Bayer Fifty Shades of grey can’t wait to hear some news about bringing the characters to life.

Don’t get too excited just yet.  There is still no word on what might happen with the book being brought to the big screen.  But, perhaps this will whet your whistle while you wait.

It looks like the British tourism company The Falstaff Experience in Stratford-upon-Avon wants to offer its guests “An Evening With Mr. Grey.”

Again, don’t get too excited just yet.  They aren’t giving their guests time in a Red Room of Pain.

What do they want to give their guests?

Ben Pugh, the events and engagement manager for the facility, explains, “It is a light-hearted experience, that will allow the visitors to celebrate a good time, drawing on some of the themes from popular Fifty Shades trilogy.”

It’s going to be fun, humorous, and kind of unlike the book’s title character, which might make bringing Christian Grey to life in a way that fits the role.

They’re currently on the hunt for the perfect actor and hope to have it ready to go by the Christmas season.

Survivor Begins 25th Season on CBS

Can you believe that Survivor is about to premiere it’s 25th season?!  Yep, it’s been that long already.  Hard to believe!

So, are they planning to do anything special for the milestone?

Well, not anything super special, per se.  But, they do have quite an interesting cast coming in for the season.

CBS has recently announced the names of the 18 castaways who will be calling the Philippines their home for about a month or so.

Jeff Kent, the former MVP baseball player who played for the LA Dodgers and the SF Giants will be on there, and so will Lisa Welchel, the actress known for her role as Blair in the 80s sitcom The Facts of Life.  Also look for a former Miss Delaware, a sex therapist, a seminary student, and an investment banker—just to name a few.

Of course this season will also feature some twists that have never been seen before, like dividing the castaways into three tribes instead of two.

Check out the new season starting September 19th.
