'Hunger Games' News, New SNL Cast Members, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Wedding

'Hunger Games Catching Fire' Begins Shooting

The Hunger Games had barely been in theaters more than a few minutes before the second movie in the trilogy was being discussed.  Even though it feels like it’s been years since rumors and tidbits starting floating around about when it would start filming, who would be in it, and when it would be released, it has FINALLY started production.hunger games

Francis Lawrence is at the helm of the production, which is being filmed in and around Atlanta and will eventually move to Hawaii.

You already know that Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are back as Katniss and Peeta, and other returning cast members include Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, and Stanley Tucci.  New faces include Jena Malone, Amanda Plummer, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, and Sam Claflin.

Even though the ball is rolling and shooting is slated to end in December, there are still a bunch of roles that haven’t yet been filled, including 11 of the Quarter Quell tributes.
Details about the QQ are pretty hush hush, but you can be that some will be leaked over the coming months.

Look for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire to finally hit theaters on November 22, 2013.

Saturday Night Live's New Season Includes Three New Cast Members

SNL will begin its 38th (!!) season this weekend and Seth MacFarlane and Frank Ocean are set to kick it off.

You probably already know that Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg won’t be returning.  It’s also been announced that Abby Elliott isn’t on board anymore, either.

Yes, it is definitely not going to be the same without those three.  But, at least Nasim Pedrad, Taran Killam, Vanessa Bayer, Jason Sudeikis, and Jay Pharoah are still a part of the SNL team.

And you can also look forward to the addition of three new cast members—Tim Robinson, Cecily Strong, and Aidy Bryant.  All three have some impressive resumes including stints at Second City, so hopefully they are funny enough to fill the shoes of those who have left.

As if all this weren’t enough to look forward to, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be stepping up as host on September 22 and Daniel Craig takes the stage on October 6.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Are Officially Married

It’s amazing how high profile some celebs are, yet they still manage to evade the media and pull off a secret wedding.  And well-known couples managed to do just that over the weekend.

Prince Harry Chelsy Davy

Apparently Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the not on Sunday and it’s being reported that the wedding took place in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina at the Boone Hall Plantation.  Not too many details are known about the affair as of yet, but it has been said that Florence Welch performed during the ceremony, which took place under a tent.

The second couple to make if official is Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam.  This wedding took place in Solvang, California at the Alisal Guet Ranch and Resort.

The HIMYM star and SNL cast member have been engaged since 2009 and have a daughter together.

Congrats to both couples and may your marriages last longer than that of Kim K. and Kris Humphries.
