Down Memory Lane

Still completely blank from Qetsiyah’s (Janina Gavankar) spell, the gang tries assorted ways to help Stefan (Paul Wesley) regain his memory. Ironically, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) attempts to reconnect Stefan more with his humanity while reminding him that Damon will forever (and always be) the cooler brother. Back at the Salvatore estate, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) comes to terms with Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) death and feels it’s now or never for the rest of the group to know the truth. Things for Matt (Zach Roerig) are still a little hazy, due to the fact that he remains having constant blackouts. Though he has a strong suspicion, Nadia (Olga Fonda) has something to do with this, he still needs more pieces to this puzzle. Pressure to reveal Bonnie’s secret grows stronger when Matt comes to Jeremy asking for her help. Photo: CW

While attempting to grasp having no memory, Stefan still struggles to understand his history as a vampire or the fact that he is known as “The Ripper.”  Although he may lack any conscious memory of who he really is, it seems his subconscious is beginning to trigger on its own. Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries a more romantic approach, recreating the first time they met. To many, losing all recollection of an ex-lover is what one may call a miracle.

Though not intentional, Elena opens up about her and Stefan’s past, not realizing that it would set off any discomfort once he learns she is now dating his brother. Not only did this generate somber emotion, it may have triggered the devil inside of him.

Demons

Caroline (Candace Accola) and Jesse (Kendrick Sampson) grow closer as they celebrate Mystic Fall’s annual day of remembrance. While this usually is a day to remember those lost, Caroline struggles to forget a particular hybrid she recently detached from. Time is finally up for Bonnie when Jeremy reveals to Damon that she has been dead the entire summer. The devastation on Damon’s face expresses his apprehension for Elena- for he knows this news may once again destroy her. Photo: CW

Matt remains uneasy towards the bizarre events that have been happening to him. Things soon get a bit paranormal when he decides to videotape himself sleeping. He soon discovers his body is being used by Gregor (Hans Obma) for reasons he still is unsure of. Stefan, still distressed, runs into Caroline and Jesse, who quickly becomes Stefan’s first victim.

My Immortal

Elena, Jeremy, Caroline, Matt and Damon all pay their respects to the loss of Bonnie. Gathered into the woods, they all leave a token of remembrance in honor of their friendship. Though it is a somber occasion, things recover just a bit when Tyler (Michael Trevino) walks in to pay his respects as well. Caroline is instantly overwhelmed with joy. We can only hope his return is a permanent one.

Things get a bit skeptical when Professor Maxfield (Rick Cosnett) and Jesse are in what appears to be a lab examining him. Informed the blood running through his system is of a vampire, Maxfield quickly takes action by completing the transformation that will turn him into a vampire.

Looks as if Maxfield is our new bad guy.
