CBS greenlights 'Bad Teacher,’ Dancing With the Stars changes? Jason Sudeikis leaving SNL?

CBS greenlights 'Bad Teacher’

Did you see the movie Bad Teacher and think to yourself that it would make one heckuva TV show?  Yeah, probably not.  Although it was pretty darned funny, it was a little too raunchy for the small screen.  Cameron Diaz in 'Bad Teacher.' Photo: www.collider.com

But, someone saw past the bad language and raunchiness and decided that it would, indeed, make a great TV show.  Which is why you can see it on CBS coming this fall.

The network announced that the single-camera comedy will be on its 2013-2014 lineup.

While it will be based on the 2011 film, don’t expect to see Cameron Diaz on it, unless she surprises viewers with a cameo.  Instead the lead role goes to Ari Graynor, who, according to the show’s official logline, will play an “always inappropriate, fearless and unapologetic former trophy wife who masquerades as a teacher in order to find a new man after her wealthy husband leaves her penniless.”

Dancing With the Stars changes?

Dancing with the Stars may have just wrapped up their most recent competition, but rumors are already starting about what the next season may bring.

It looks like some changes might be in store.  What kind of changes, you ask?  Well, you might see some new faces at the judge’s table.

No official announcements have come yet.  But, it is being said that, although Bruno Tonioli might be returning, Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman might not be renewing their contracts.

Why make such drastic changes after 16 successful seasons?  Paul Lee, the network’s president, has said that he wants to change things up in hopes of attracting an audience that’s a bit younger.  And he also plans to downsize the show by cutting it down to just one night per week instead of two.

What do you think—could this help the show or actually hurt it?  Thoughts?

Last week, I announced that Bill Hader would be leaving SNL.  Just a few days later, Fred Armisen made the same announcement.

Now we might learn that yet another funnyman from the sketch comedy show might be making his exit as well.

It is being said that Jason Sudeikis won’t be coming back next season.  Although no official announcement has come, Jay Pharoah might have let a little something slip via his Twitter account.

He tweeted, “Hader, Armisen & Sudekis the talent of those three and just them as people in general will be missed but we will be strong and carry on..”

Pharoah must have realized that he let the cat out of the bag a bit early because the post quickly disappeared, although you can still see a screen shot of it here.
