Wow!  Just wow!  This was one of the last things I thought I’d see.

James Gandolfini, best known for his role as Tony Soprano on the HBO hit series The Sopranos, has died after having a heart attack.

According to a statement released by HBO, “We’re all ins shock and feel immeasurable sadness at the loss of a beloved member of our family.  He was a special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone no matter their title or position with equal respect.  He touched so many of us over the years with his humor, his warmth and his humility.  Our hearts go out to his wife and children during this terrible time.  He will be deeply missed by all of us.”

The actor, who was only 51-years-old, was in Rome, Italy when he had his heart attack.

Taylor Swift gets tables turned on her?

Taylor Swift  is known for writing not-so-subtle songs about past boyfriends.  But, is one of those boyfriends retaliating by writing a song of his own about Swift?

It’s no secret that Swift’s Dear John is about John Mayer, and now it looks like he is releasing how own song about his ex.

It’s being said that the first single off the upcoming Paradise Valley, Paper Doll, is about Swift.

In her song, she said, “You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain.”

His lyric goes a little something like, “Someone’s gonna paint you another sky.”

Want another possible reference?

Well, Swift’s album was called 22.  Mayer’s song includes the line, “You’re like 22 girls in one/and none of them know what they’re running from.”

Hmmmm…what do you think?  Are the lyrics all just a big coincidence or is someone finally giving Swift a taste of her own medicine?

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie news

In the past year or so there as been a lot of speculation as to whether or not a Fifty Shades of Grey movie would ever be made.  And, if so, who would be in it, who would direct it, and would it follow the popular storyline?

Well, at least one of those questions has been answered.

While no casting has been announced, nor has the film’s storyline, fans are now a little bit happier after learning that the movie now has a director. Sam Taylor-Johnson, known for Nowhere Boy, has signed on to direct.

“I am excited to be charged with the evolution of Fifty Shades of Grey from page to screen,” she said in a recent statement.  She also added, “For the legions of fans, I want to say that I will honor the power of Erika’s book and the characters of Christian and Anastasia.  They are under my skin, too.”

While it has been said that the film might be released in the summer of 2014, no date has been set.

I’m sure some more news will be released in the coming months.
