'ER' reunion in the works? Jessica Simpson, 'Under the Dome's' fate revealed
Possible ‘ER’ reunion?
Did you know that it’s been almost 20 years since ER first aired? Yep, it’s true.
Although the series aired its last episode several years ago, some of its stars haven’t forgotten about it—and may even be considering coming back for a reunion movie!
Don’t get too excited just yet. Nothing is actually in the works. But, if it were to happen, you can be sure that Julianna Margulies will be on board.
“George (Clooney) just reminded me the other day that we re coming up on our 20th anniversary of ER” the actress said during a recent interview with E! News. “We used to joke that they never gave us a wedding on that show. He said we should just do a movie and just see what the ticket receipts are…If George is in it, I’m game!”
Considering how busy she is with The Good Wife and all the movies that Clooney has been in, the two might never have the time to do a movie if it one days comes to fruition.
But, fans can still dream, right?!
Jessica Simpson’s show cancelled
Things seem to be going great for Jessica Simpson. She’s engaged, has a beautiful daughter, and recently gave birth to a son. But, all is not great for the star because it has been announced that Fashion Star has been cancelled after only two seasons.
If you’ve never seen the show, Simpson, along with John Varvatos and Nicole Richie, mentored up-and-coming designers who competed for a chance to have their clothing sold in Express, Macy’s, and Saks stores.
During its second season a new host was brought in and the show was moved to a new night, among some other changes, in hopes to boost ratings. But, it wasn’t enough to keep people tuned in and the finale brought in a lot less viewers than hoped.
‘Under the Dome’ renewed
Have you been watching Under The Dome? The show is a surprising hit, although many people—like me!—probably thought it would just be a summer series.
But, guess what…it’s coming back for a second season!
“It is official and Stephen King will be writing the first episode of that 13-episode arc,” said Les Moonves during a panel discussion.
The network’s president, Nina Tassler, released a statement in which she also reveals a bit about the news. “We’re excited to tell more stories about the mystery of the dome and the secrets in Chester’s Mill, and are thrilled to have the master storyteller himself, Stephen King, tell the first one of the next season.”
The second season will return next summer.
