Philly2Philly.com's Most Eligible Singles for August

Summer is unfortunately winding down. However, that doesn’t mean one should give up on finding a sweet summer romance just yet!

We have great catches for August: Kristen Johanson and Sean O’Neill. Kristen is a stunning brunette assignment editor for a local Philly news station who loves dancing, Philly sports teams, and trying new restaurants.

And for our Mr. August we have Sean, a hot research scientist who likes Osteria, McGillins, being physically active, and the NY Giants (please don’t throw eggs at him at the happy hour-LOL). Could you see yourself dancing the night away with Kristen or being Sean’s motorcycle partner in Philly? If so, please email me and I’ll put you in touch with these two awesome singles.

And if you would like to meet these August singles and many others, please join us on Wednesday, August 18th at Union Trust  (717 Chestnut St. Philadelphia) in the Mezzanine area for Happy Hour from 6pm to 8pm. There will be great drink and appetizer specials such as $2 beer, $3 wine, $4 cocktails, and $6 calamari and shrimp cocktail. So please join us and many others out to mingle with on this Center City Sips  night! Feel free to email me your thoughts at helene@philly2philly.com  and please keep the nominations coming for future months. Here are the interviews for our hot picks for August!

Name: Sean O’NeillPhilly2Philly Most Eligible Single Sean O'Neill.

Occupation: Research Scientist

Age: 32

Current Location: East Falls

Favorite Restaurant in the City: Osteria

Favorite Bar: McGillins

Current Cell Phone: Blackberry Storm. Three months and counting until I can upgrade to a Droid Incredible.

Hobbies/Interests: I really enjoy the outdoors and being physically active. I try to get involved as much as possible in recreational sports such as, but not limited to, flag football, volleyball, and softball. I like live music, usually go to several concerts a year, and am highly disappointed that DMB will not be on tour next year. Before moving to Philly, I’d go on scenic motorcycle rides with friends when the weather was nice. But since moving to the city, I haven’t really met anyone to go riding with, so the best ride I go on is along Kelly Drive on the way to work. During the winter, I love to go snowboarding, and hence, I’m one of the few adults that actually enjoyed the excessive snowfall that Philly received this past winter. I also spend a lot of time working on house projects such as painting and fixing things up. Although it’s not always the most fun while I’m working on a project, it is very rewarding once a project is completed.

Favorite Sports Team: New York Giants! Go Blue!!!

Must haves in a Mate: Breathing and a pulse; I’m not too picky. Wait…., that contradicts my following answer. More realistically, a girl must be able to have more intelligent conversations with me other than talking about petty drama. I don’t mind girls that love shopping, but a potential mate must be able to leave the mall and be involved in outdoor recreational activities. A girl must get along with my brothers, as they are my best friends and will always be a significant part of my life. She should also be tolerant of at least some of my friends.

Dating Deal Breakers: Hair in places where only men should have hair, “summer” teeth, wearing so much make-up that it needs to be removed with a putty knife, and not realizing that use of deodorant is a requirement, not optional!

Interesting Fact About You: When I was ten years old, I saved my brother from drowning in my uncles pool! Before you get too impressed, I should mention that I was the one who pushed him into the pool while we were roughhousing with each other.
