Philly2Philly recently got a chance to speak to one of the brains behind “The Curse of Billy Penn”, a documentary about the reason why Philadelphia teams suffered through the longest losing streak in the history of American sports for any city that has 4 sports teams.   

This past Sunday, the first annual Philadelphia Film Market concluded in Northern Liberties. The Market, which ran from June 22nd to June 28th, was a “gathering of industry professionals — including acquisition and development executives, agents, attorneys, directors, distributors, festival directors, financiers, film commissioners, producers, writers, and various press outlets — aimed at bringing all aspects of the film industry together.”

South Philadelphia native Nick Lanciano has already achieved his ultimate dream.  He has released a movie.  A movie, which by his own doing was written, shot, edited, and released.
