San Francisco Giants fans are still basking in championship bliss. And to be fair,Cliff Lee photo: http://blogs.delawareonline.com/philledin/files/2009/10/200907301930702580308-pf_widec.jpg they've earned it. But even the most dim-witted, pot smoking Giants fan needs to wake up and smell the reefer. There's a difference in being proud of your team for winning, and being realistic.

The Giants have a great pitching staff. We've seen it.

Only thing is, the Phillies now have a better one.

I know, I know, the orange and black (and I don't mean the Flyers) have beaten every one of our "Fab Four," including the prodigal son Cliff Lee twice in this year's World Series.

That won't happen again, and you can bank on it. Lee was so sickening in the 2009 and first part of the 2010 post season that he was due for some rough outings.

For those of you who are wondering about the Phillies' bats in the wake of the loss to the Giants, that is a fair assessment. However, as the Giants showed last year (I mean the ones who aren't even on the team anymore), it's all about getting the big hit at the right time. I think that Giants team proved that more than any team who has ever played the game.

Giants fans complain about disrespect. We're from Philadelphia. They truly have no idea in God's green earth what disrespect is until you have lived and died with your sports teams in Philly. Our quarterback choked in the Super Bowl. He didn't see John Candy at Joe Robbie Stadium. The 49ers have five Super Bowl rings. End of discussion.

The Giants' pitching has the potential to be great for a very long time, longer than the Phillies do. But then you get nimrods like this guy comparing the Giants to the A's powerhouse of 72-74.

Really?

This is why A. Nobody takes you guys seriously out there, and B. Not ONE player on this Giants team could shine John "Blue Moon" Odom's shoes let alone Reggie Jackson's.

Seriously, who writes this stuff?

This writer who discusses the Phillies acquiring Lee is at least sensible.

Let me tell you something Giants fans. Just wait until 2011, when your arrogant bunch of world champs gets a little cockier and probably a little less hungry. THEN, you'll see how tough it is to repeat. Tiny Tim, Jonathan "Hot Head" Sanchez, Matt Cain, and "Mad Baum" have ther work cut out for them next year.

The Phour Tops of Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt, Cole Hamels, and Lee are really pissed off at you guys.

Granted, the Phillies beating ANYONE is no guarantee, but the ante has been upped, the H is O, and to quote Rube from Major League 2: "You're standing on the tracks and the train's coming through, buttheads."
