Oxford Valley Mall Celebrates Earth Day 2011 with Earth-Friendly Fun

The Oxford Valley Mall is hosting a 2011 Earth Day celebration, featuring activities for all ages from 11am-2pm.

From 11am-12pm Kidgit’s Little Planet Helpers with the OxfordValley Mall Green Team Kids will go green and learn ways to keep the environment clean and healthy.

Kids can also meet Swoop, the Philadelphia Eagles mascot, during a meet and greet at the Guest Services booth from 12-1pm, followed by a performance from 1-2pm by the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus in the Macy’s Court.

The mall-wide event offers earth-friendly services like free document shredding and free electronic recycling in front of Market Square and One Oxford Valley Office Building. Acceptable electronic items include computers, laptops, monitors, printers, keyboards and other peripherals with a limit of five items per person. No TV’s or other audio/visual equipment will be accepted.

Guest services and 1-800 GOT JUNK will be collecting gently used plastic toys for donation to Second Chance Toys during the entire event. The event is made possible by PNC Bank, Philly2Philly, 1-800-GOT JUNK and Cherokee Day Camp.
