Normally we don't give a crap about other cities' teams in the playoffs on Philly2Philly, but we always love to see the Lakers go down in flames. They hold a special place in our hearts after the 2001 NBA Finals and after Kobe took a crap on Philly.

The L.A. Lakers were thoroughly outplayed and humiliated by the Dallas Mavericks today - losing 122-86 as they were knocked out of the playoffs. Added to that, they were swept by a Dallas team, which is looking to get it's first championship.

Not only were the Lakers outplayed, but they were outclassed in their series sweep.

Lakers forward Lamar Odom shoved his shoulder into Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki and was ejected. But, Andrew Bynum took the cake by elbowing Dallas guard Jose Barea in the 4th quarter. This goes down as one of the ugliest (if not the ugliest) fouls in NBA history. To see a so-called professional athlete pull a Mickey Mouse move like that makes you wonder what is going through this guy's mind.

The Lakers are sore losers and hopefully the NBA will suspend Andrew Bynum for a significant amount of time next season.
