Roger Ebert is under fire for a disgusting comment he made about "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn, who died in a tragic car accident this morning.

Ebert stated on Twitter, "friends don't let jackasses drink and drive."

While it's well documented that Ryan Dunn was out at a bar prior to the crash, it's not proven that he was intoxicated prior to the accident.

Even if he was drunk, this is not a time to make an incendiary remark or joke about a tragic accident.

Roger Ebert for one should understand tragedy. His former co-host Gene Siskel died of a brain tumor. And, Ebert battled cancer himself, which cost him his jaw. I wonder how Roger Ebert would feel if a prominent figure went on Twitter and said, "Hey Roger where's your jaw?" Or, if they said "Roger it's too bad you aren't missing your fingers as well and can't type on a computer and say such ridiculous things."

Roger Ebert certainly showed his true colors by going the low-road today.

His ill-advised Tweet is about as low as it goes. Roger Ebert, who lost his ability to speak, apparently lost his sense of tact too.
