Philadelphia – On December 10 & 11, 2011, Plays & Players presents vintage old time radio goodness live at Plays & Players. And what holiday season would be complete without It’s a Wonderful Life!? Featuring live music & Foley sound effects at each performance, Hear Again Radio combines the best of radio with the magic of live theater.
Don’t miss Hear Again Radio Project perform Lux Radio Theater’s It’s a Wonderful Life and other holiday treats that are sure to be fun for the whole family.
“Lux Radio Theater would routinely invite the greatest stars of Hollywood to re-live the roles that they made famous on the silver screen, live before an audience of enthusiastic fans. Just like we do with Hear Again,” says Darin J Dunston, founder of Hear Again Radio Project. “The story of George Bailey and It’s a Wonderful Life has been a part of my family’s holiday tradition for years, and we look forward to sharing it with other families to create a new Christmas tradition.”
The 60-minute live show differs from the movie in just a few ways. Those who are familiar with the Frank Capra film will notice the subtle changes made for the radio soundscape: like how Zuzu’s petals become Zuzu’s bell. How else does differ it, you ask? You’ll just have to come HEAR for yourself.
In honor of the holiday spirit Plays and Players is selling group tickets to see the show so you can bring the whole family and save. Normally $12-$15, groups of 5 or more can now buy tickets at only $10 each! (http://playsandplayers.tix.com)
