A look at Harry Reid and Blagojevich's racist comments regarding President Obama

hello worldHello World! This is what you're supposed to say when you launch a website, blog, or any other tangible object in cyberspace.

We at Philly2Philly.com have shunned blogs for a while in our first 7 months, but have decided to give it a whirl.

We introduce to you Spectrum-Philly2Philly.com's Blog devoted to politics, celebrity gossip, and everything in between.  We won't take ourselves too seriously and we'll always give you the skinny on the latest in our crazy world.

So, let's kick this off with a few stories related to President Barack Obama.

First we have Senator Harry Reid who is doing his best to committ not just political, but career suicide with quite possibly the dumbest comments ever uttered by an American politican. And, that's saying a lot!

If you don't know what Senator Reid said I'll rehash his racist comments for you.  He said that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate especially one like Barack Obama who was light-skinned and didn't speak with a "negro dialect."

Even if you think of something this insane when you're in public office, you have to keep it to yourself.  Don't tell your collegues.  Don't tell your wife.  And, don't tell your kids.  And, don't tell your drinking buddies...or country club buddies.  Comments like this have a way of coming to the surface.

Can you say bye bye Senator Reid?

Next, we can turn to Rod Blagojevich who is never short of insane comments.

Blagojevich recently stated in an interview with Esquire Magazine that he's blacker than Barack Obama!

Chances are Blago meant no harm with this, because he's "rebranding" himself as a nutty former politican and trying his hardest to get someone to hire him for a TV show.

You have to consider the source here.  Blago will say any damn thing to keep himself in the limelight.  But, this is taking it a tad too far.  He has now backpeddled and apologized for the comment.  How about this Blago.  It shouldn't have exited your windpipe to begin with! jersey shore

That's all for now.  To all of my peeps in the Philadelphia area, stay warm today.  It's gonna be a cold one for a bit.  Fear not though, it will finally warm up to 50 degrees on Friday.  Break out the shades and beach chairs!
