Victory for Corporations as Supreme Court eases restrictions on corporate campaign funding

The U.S. Supreme Court today made a ruling, which will have a major impact on campaign finance in elections moving forward.

The conservative wing of the court voted to remove restrictions on independent spending by corporations and unions.

Since conservatives outweigh liberals 5-4, naturally the vote was...5-4.

The decision puts to rest the case Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission

Citizens United, according to their website "seeks to reassert the traditional American values of limited government, freedom of enterprise, strong families, and national sovereignty with security."

Citizens United, run by a Republican named David Bossie, is for all intents and purposes a front for corporations.  With their victory today they will enable corporations to have a free-for-all in future elections.

Today-the American people have lost in a big way.
