Tiger Woods: Nike Commerical and Masters Circus all the talk

As Tiger Woods gets ready to tee off for the 2010 Masters Tournament today, all eyes are tiger woods adupon him.  He's all the talk today and a bigger topic of conversation than President Obama, Donovan McNabb, The 2010 Masters, and the Philadelphia Phillies combined.

He's also making headlines for a Nike ad which features the voice of his deceased father Earl Woods, which is a tad on the creepy side.

The timing of the Nike ad is quite obvious.  With Tiger Woods' return to the PGA in the 2010 Masters being the most anticipated return of a major athlete arguably ever, Nike pounced on the opportunity to gain huge exposure by releasing the controversial ad which shows a still shot of Tiger Woods in black and white with a voice over of his father.  You have to wonder why Tiger would pimp his dead father's voice out just to sell some sneakers.

We hear the voice of Earl Woods saying, “Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive, to promote discussion. I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. Did you learn anything?”

Aside from Tiger Woods becoming the most controversial athlete in America, Nike can now stake the claim for having the most controversial commercial right now.

Unless, Jesse James' braintrust at West Coast Choppers decides to top this one.
