water cooler logoPhillies fans across the Philadelphia area from South Philly to Reading have been holding their collective breath for good news regarding Ryan Howard's ankle injury today.  Howard, who sprained his ankle in the first inning of the game against the Nationals, had to be helped off the field, which sent shock waves through the Phillies clubhouse and Phillies nation.

The first bit of great news came out during the Phillies Post-game live show on MYPHL17. John Clark reported that Charlie Manuel said after the game that he doesn't feel that Ryan Howard's ankle injury is serious enough to land him on the DL.

In fact, Manuel thinks Ryan Howard may only be out for a "couple of games."
