Mitt Romney Sends a Unifying Message With His Speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention

On Thursday night, Mitt Romney officially became the Republican party’s candidate to run against President Barack Obama this November.

On the night that he accepted his party’s nomination, Mitt Romney gave arguably the best speech of his campaign thus far.

What his speech may have lacked in policy detail, Romney made up in conveying the same “feel good” and unifying message that President Obama relayed to Americans just four years ago.

Rather than undercutting the current Administration, or demonizing along party lines, Romney stated:

“We’re united by so much more than what divides us...”

As we continue to work together during a difficult economic period in our country, Mitt Romney has created a strong foundation to begin the campaign to become the next President of the United States, not the President of political ideology or divisive rhetoric.
