Adopt Maxie- Northeast Animal Rescue's Pet of the Week

NAR is happy to announce that Adia, Maddie, Naomi, and Baby have all been adopted!

Adopt Maxie- Northeast Animal Rescue's Pet of the Week

Maxie is a very special, very unique and beautiful girl who would love to be the center of your world!  Maxie is a long-haired calico who also happens to be polydactyl – meaning she has extra toes on her feet!  Maxie is also special because she has overcome some challenges along the way, and still remains happy and playful – chasing her catnip toys everywhere.  You see, Maxie was living in a home where she was miserable, and she came to NAR because “she was having issues.”

After having her thoroughly evaluated, Maxie was found to have stomatitis, which is a very painful mouth condition that is usually best resolved by extensive tooth extractions.  Fortunately though, after undergoing her dental procedure and recovery, Maxie is pain free and very happy!  Best part is, she does not require any special diet, just regular checkups by a vet to make sure she is staying healthy.  She does not have any of the “issues” her former owner referred to – in fact, she has come out of her shell while in foster care.

However, we have also learned in foster that she does not like other cats one bit, so when we say she wants to be the center of your world, she doesn’t care to share you with any other pets.

Maxie is spayed, current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.  We estimate her birthday to be in March 2008.
