Ed Rendell Goes Off About Postponement of Eagles-Vikings Game

Governor Ed Rendell went on an ill-advised rant yesterday on Fox 29 and said the decision to move the Eagles-Vikings game from Sunday night to Tuesday night is a result of the "wussification" of America. Rendell jumped on the Eagles bashing bandwagon on Tuesday and should have stayed out of it. For my take on Ed Rendell's NFL-Eagles rant, check out my column at The Watercooler. Rendell's NFL-Eagles comments are now getting national media attention. Michael Vick and the Eagles take on the Vikings tonight on NBC. If you have Vick in your fantasy lineup like I do, then look for him to carry you to the fantasy championship next week. For those of us in Yahoo leagues, any Eagles-Vikings player stats will count towards the week 16 stats.

Falcons Lay an Egg Against Saints...#1 Seed Still Up For Grabs

The Eagles have gotten these gifts before and it's still possible. Last night the Saints upended the Falcons 17-14 and completely shut down stud running back Michael Turner. Turner was held to 48 yards on 17 carries and 0 touchdowns. Over the past 8 games, Turner racked up 100 yards rushing and 10 TDs. Coming into the game he was a huge reason for the Falcons' ascention to the top of the NFC. The 12-3 Falcons take on the Panthers next week. While it would take a miracle for them to lose anything is possible in the NFL. Let's not forget back in 2008  when the Tampa Bay Bucs faced 4-11 Oakland Raiders and blew it.

Aretha Franklin Died...Not True Folks

There is another Twitter rumor going around about Aretha Franklin's death. In fact the #1 Google search trend is "Aretha Franklin died." According to her rep she is still alive. Just another Twitter hoax people. The legendary Queen of Soul recently had surgery for pancreatic cancer.
