Elizabeth Edwards, Enstranged Wife of John Edwards Dies of Cancer

Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of former Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards died Tuesday morning from cancer. Word broke Monday that she ceased with treatments for cancer due it spreading to her liver, but it was stated originally that she had weeks to live. It was a rather quick and shocking development to say the least. John Edwards will be forever known for cheating on his wife while she had cancer with Rielle Hunter and not for his political career.

Sixers Rout the Cavaliers 117-97

How bad does an NBA team have to be to lose to the Sixers by 20 points and give up 26 points to Thaddeus Young? Apparently, pretty bad. The Sixers dominated the Cavaliers in a 117-97 win. The Sixers are doing the wrong thing and that's winning after starting 3-13. They now have 7 wins on the season and improved to 7-14. The Cavaliers have now lost 5 straight and are tied with the Sixers with a 7-14 record. It would behoove the Sixers to get back to losing and go for another top 3 pick.

Today Marks 30th Anniversary of John Lennon's Death

30 years after John Lennon's death, we are still reminded just how cruel life can be. Legendary musician John Lennon was gunned down outside his apartment 30 years ago today by Mark David Chapman. Don't miss Joe Vallee's column about John Lennon, 30 years after his death.  December 8, 1980 is one of those days that will live in infamy in American History, much like yesterday's Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, September 11, 2001, and November 22, 1963 - the date of JFK's Assassination.

Ad Exec Creates Clever Ad to Get His Stolen Laptop Back

Finally, in some interesting news - an ad exec from Manayunk who had his laptop stolen came up with a clever ad to try and get his stolen laptop back. He's offering drugs in return for whoever gets him back his stolen Macbook. He posted a sign which says "Reward - Fabulous Drug Stash - for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the 2-bit thief" who stole his laptop. While it's a clever idea, his laptop was probably sold on ebay or to a pawn shop the day after the perp stole it from his vehicle.
