Weekly Round-up

Eagles Training Camp: No Serious Injuries

The story out of Eagles Training Camp is how many players had to be carted off the field. Fortunately, none of these injuries are season-ending. And, Thursday night Flight Night took place, the scene of the crime last year when Stewart Bradley blew out his ACL. This year, Flight Night didn't become Fright Night again as there were no serious injuries.

Prop 8 Overturned

Proposition 8, was ruled unconstitutional this week in California. Prop 8 was a ballot proposition and constitutional amendment passed in the November 2008, state elections. The measure added a new provision, Section 7.5 of the Declaration of Rights, to the California Constitution, which provides that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

Elena Kagan Confirmed to Supreme Court

Elena Kagan became the first person to be appointed to the Supreme Court in 40 years without ever having served as a judge.

Brett Favre the latest celebrity cheater

A huge rumor in the past few days involves one Brett Favre. Word around the world wide grapevine is that he sent compromising photos of himself to Playboy Playmate Jenn Sterger. Added to that, there may have been some dirty phone calls from Favre to Sterger as well. Who is Jenn Sterger you might ask? After getting noticed during a college football game on ABC, she wrote occasional columns for SI.com. Sterger also has posed for Maxim and Playboy, and currently hosts "The Daily Line" on Versus, while serving as game-day host during New York Jets games.

Finally-the wrap-up of the wrap-up:

Lindsay Lohan didn't bolt from rehab just yet. Michelle Obama is chilling in Spain. Desean Jackson is still out with an injured back.  Wyclef Jean is running for president of Haiti. Two children and dozens were injured in a nasty school bus crash in Missouri. The mummy bandit got busted in Havertown. Say it isn't so, but BP claims the well is finally sealed and there will be no more oil leaking into the Gulf.

Finally, Roy Oswalt pitched a solid game for the Phils after a rough first start. And, the Phillies eventually won in 10 innings 5-4 against the Marlins.
