Glenn Lapp, an aid worker in Afghanistan, was among 10 aid workers who were murdered by the Taliban. He went over to Afghanistan to help children with eye problems. The Taliban thought differently. They executed the aid workers in cold-blooded fashion because they felt they were trying to brainwash Muslims into become Christians. Then again we are talking about a blood-thirsty, prehistoric terrorist organization who believes that women should be executed if they even think of looking at another man.

Phillies Take Two of Three From Mets

Roy Halladay wasn't his usual self (giving up 5 runs) but he was good enough as the Phils knocked off the Mets yesterday to take two out of three this weekend. Raul Ibanez continued his resurgence by hitting a 3-run bomb yesterday. Ibanez now has a 16-game hitting streak. The Phils won 6-5 and took the weekend series. They go up against the Dodgers tonight at 7:05.
