Phillies Knock Off Dodgers to Win Series

The Phillies continued their resurgence yesterday by knocking off the Dodgers 5-1 to win the series. Even though Clayton Kershaw had 11 K's, the Phils managed to get three runs off him. They now head to Colorado to face the Rockies for a make-up game before heading back home.The talk of the game was Ryan Howard's appearance in the season finale of Entourage.

Hurricane Earl Strengthens

Hurricane Schwartz last night stated on NBC10 that Hurricane Earl strengthened during the evening hours, with winds above 140 miles per hour. It is now 410 miles away from Cape Hatteras North Carolina. Hurricane Earl's path has it moving slighty far enough away that it won't make direct landfall anywhere along the Eastern seaboard.

Explosions Rock Welding Supply Company in Collingdale

A series of explosions destroyed a propane supply factory in Collingdale yesterday and threatened area residents. Police had to exacuate people within a 3,000 foot radius as it was feared a giant propane tank could have exploded, which would have affected everyone within that radius. The explosion at the Scully Welding Supply Corp. was captured on video.
