Cole Hamels Continues to Dominate as Phillies Blank Brewers 1-0

Cole Hamels has been nothing short of phenomenal since the beginning of August. Aside from surrendering 5 runs to the Giants a few weeks ago, he has been pitching better than Halladay and Oswalt, surrendering 2 earned runs or less in 5 of his past 6 starts. Last night he didn't yield any runs and struck out 7 over 7 innings while carrying a no-hitter through 5 innings just a few nights after Oswalt carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning. The Phillies' offense didn't show up, but neither did the Brewers. The Phillies are now just one game behind the Braves in the NL East since the Braves lost. The Fightins take on the Brewers tonight at 7:05.

Red Bull Flugtag Takes Place Tomorrow in Philly...Well Camden

The Red Bull Flugtag 2010 will take place in Philly along the Delaware Waterfront today. The event features contestants who attempt to take flight off a 30-foot platform with their man-made planes. It's similar in some ways to Preston and Steve's Annual Cardboard Classic held up at Jackfrost in the Poconos. And, of course 93.3 WMMR's Preston and Steve will be at the Red Bull Flugtag today serving as judges in the event.

No-pants Rapist Has Been Identified

Philadelphia Police have found out who the Center City rapist is who ran from the scene of a rape without his pants earlier this week. They were able to identify him because his finger print happened to be on a Mexican Driver's License (which wasn't his) that was found in his pants. The man, Alberto Isaac Navarrete Suarez was identified by leads that came from the finger print belonging to a him when he was deported several years ago, according to officials.
