First Day of Spring Brings Nasty Weather To Philadelphia Area

Spring Equinox began last night around 7:00 P.M. When we awoke this morning in the Philly area we awoke to lots of rain. Even thunderstorms were expected to move through the area despite temperatures in the 40's. The beginning of spring is expected to feel more like winter this week as temps won't get out of the 40's from Thursday through Sunday. The first day of spring, feels like anything but spring throughout the entire country with nasty weather everywhere from the Northeast to California.

ATT&T Purchases T-Mobile For $39 Billion

AT&T has agreed to purchase T-Mobile from Deutsche Telekom for $39 billion. They will get a bridge loan of $20 billion to support the purchase. AT&T claims this is a windfall for T-Mobile customers, many of whom probably left AT&T due to their many issues including increasing fees after purchasing Cingular. Ultimately, AT&T is pushing the iPhone and wants to open it up to T-Mobile customers. Added to that, T-Mobile customers will have to replace their 3G phones with more expensive 4G phones. Will this mean higher bills for current AT&T and T-Mobile customers? Most definitely according to Joe Wilcox of Beta News.

Eagles Offered First Rounder For Kevin Kolb

According to SI.com NFL insider Peter King, the Eagles have been offered a first round pick for Kevin Kolb. The only hitch is, the Eagles can't actually trade him until the new NFL collective bargaining agreement is resolved or the court rules in favor of the players, thereby ending the NFL Lockout.
