Flyers Defeat Sabres 4-2 to Take 2-1 Series Lead

Huge night in sports in Philly with the Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers all playing on the same night. Only one came out victorious and that was the Flyers. The Flyers were in control for much of the entire game last night in Buffalo. It started off with Jeff Carter's first period goal and they never really were in trouble, despite surrendering a goal to make it 1-1. They ended up winning 4-2 and now have a 2-1 series lead.

Phillies Lose Yet Another First Game In a Series

The Phillies continued their trend by dropping the first game of a series, this time to the Brewers. Joe Blanton was finally effective too - going 7 innings and allowing just 2 earned runs. They tied it up in the 9th, but wound up losing in the 12th inning 6-3. The Phillies and Brewers will go back at it again tonight at 7:05 with Roy Halladay taking the hill against former Phillie Randy Wolf.

Sixers Get Blown Out By Miami Heat

Nobody really (with realistic expectations) expected the Sixers to win more than one game against the Heat. However, if last night is any indication they may get swept. They were destroyed 94-73. Things were so bad for the Sixers that Lebron James outscored the Sixers' starting five in the first half. The series heads to Philly and they will tip off Thursday night.
