Rashard Mendenhall Makes Controversial Tweets Regarding Bin Laden

Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall is likely to piss off a lot of NFL fans after a series of bizarre tweets on Twitter, including one where he questioned why there is so much hate for Bin Laden. First, lets focus on this tweet some 18 hours ago:

"What kind of person celebrates death? It's amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side..."

Of course Mendenhall is referring to the celebrations around America once news broke of Bin Laden's death. Then, Mendenhall followed it up with this tweet.

"We'll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style"

I won't say that Mendenhall condones terrorism - that is too extreme. But I can say that he's likely a truther. Truthers subscribe to the 9/11 Truth Movement, a movement built on conspiracy theories surrounding the 9/11 attacks. The theory is built on the premise that two planes alone could not have possibly caused the Twin Towers to collapse and that it was an "inside job." Maybe Alex Jones will have him on his show to address his theories?

More Details Come Out Regarding Bin Laden's Death

Two days after a raid, which resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden, more details have come out. The name of the mission was Operation Geronimo - of course Bin Laden was referred to as Geronimo. A dramatic photo of the Situation Room showed President Obama, Vice President Biden, Hilary Clinton, and many others in awe of the live video of the mission. And, a Twitter user who lived near Bin Laden's compound was tweeting that a helicopter was in the air during the raid. He had no idea Bin Laden lived there or what was going on, but unknowingly provided live commentary!

Flyers Lose Game 2 In Overtime

This was one heck of a game, but the Flyers came up short against the Bruins in overtime to put themselves in an 0-2 deficit to Boston. In the first period this was a shootout, with Boucher being yanked with the score tied 2-2. Enter Sergei Bobrovsky who played extremely well for the final two periods and OT - up until surrendering the game-winning goal. The series now heads to Boston, but, it's far from over.
